Over 3 days in SF and LA, director Scott Compton and a very talented crew shot five, short documentary videos for Federated Media and Levi’s. They are about five fashion bloggers who wear and love Levi’s Curve ID jeans.

We will release one video a week, every Monday, here on our blog. The first video can be viewed below or on Hulu.

Meet blogger Liz Stanley of SF. Her blog is Say Yes To Hoboken

Scott chose to shoot with Canon 5D HDSLRs, so he and DP Bart Nagel could move fast and have flexibility with lighting conditions in various locations. They also shot many setups with two cameras using complementary lenses to increase variety and flexibility.

Editorial was handled in NYC by Jennifer Steinman, with Scott doing the fine cut back in SF at Remedy. Ayumi Ashley did the final color correction in Remedy’s new DaVinci Resolve suite, and Marc Pittman did the music mix.

We’re happy to announce one of our past “Adopt a Docs,” Motherland by Filmmaker Jennifer Steinman, won an encore screening at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival. It will show opening night on March 9th, 2012. We hope you and your friends can make it.

In December of 2006, Jennifer invited six American women, each grieving the death of a child, on a very unique trip: a 17-day intensive pilgrimage to work as volunteers in rural South Africa. Motherland was inspired by Jennifer’s close friend who lost her son in a car accident, and the trip was designed to test the theory that “giving can be healing.” Motherland wrapped post-production at Remedy in September 2008.

Check out and share the official film trailer below.
